still deciding
So I still haven't picked my products for 10 pan yet. I counted the number of products I have used in the past three days alone, and it was 32. I am having a hard time determining what I will use repeatedly until it is gone. I have to make a decision though, so I will probably narrow it down tonight when I prepare for my sleep study at the hospital. I will have a lot of time by myself to think.

Ten Pan
10 - pan
So it was inevitable, eventually I was going to have to face the music. I am a makeup addict, I am destined to live my life as a cosmetics junkie. This being said I have decided to try Project 10 pan like many of the girls on You Tube. Over the next couple days I will be selecting 10 items that I will use everyday until they are gone. With us trying to get into our house and buy furniture it is a good time for me. So I will choose the lucky 10 and then I will post pictures of them and keep you updated on my progress. I will also continue to post about other items but they will strictly be from shopping my own collection. Hello my name is M and I am a makeaholic. Wish me luck!!

Peach Sunset
Top three needed items!
I have been a slacker on posting, but I had a lot going on with both my jobs. I took a trip to Walmart the other day because I had to kill an hour waiting for my boyfriend to get off work so we could go house hunting. I work I had made a list of the top three things I would get if I was going to buy makeup. I came up with the top three being a blue eyeliner, a good under eye concealer, and an lipstick that leaned a little bit towards the orange side. This is what I purchased;
Hard Candy Take Me Out Eyeliner in Sake' ~ I love the fun chopstick like packaging of this eyeliner, and the color is nice and bright, I want to try out the other colors because I really like this one. The only thing I do not like is if you use it on the lower lash line it does have a bit of fallout, so you have to pay attention to it. On top it stays put well, I used a powder over it to make it stay put.
Rimmel London Recover Anti Fatigue Concealer in Ivory ~ I like this because it instantly brightens up my eye area. It isn't ideal for full coverage, but it does keep you from looking overly tired.
Wet and Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in Peach Sunset ~ I like the finish of this lipstick, it is smooth and the color is really pretty. It does not stay on for a long time, but as long as you do not mind reapplying then it is great. I reapply all day out of habit even if the lipstick stays on great!
Also I was shopping my collection for blue eyeliners before I went to buy this one, and found my Avon Ultra Luxury Eyeliner in Midnight Blue. It is a lot darker then Sake' so it works for a completely different look.
Here is the Sake' and Concealer

AVA!!!
Ava Gardner was gorgeous. There is no denying that. She was very comfortable in her sexuality too, she was not afraid who knew it. The picture to the left (courtesy of google images) is one of the best pictures of her. The part that I focus on are those lashes. Granted they might be fake lashes. The movie production companies she worked for loved to slather as much makeup as possible on their actresses, and I would not put it past them to use fakes. I love old Hollywood Glamour. I have read two books about the life of Ava Gardner, and I think she was just a natural beauty. She lived in a time before plastic surgery was the norm, and before airbrushing was really possible. Her overall look is fantastic, but since I was focused on her lashes, I will get to my point.
Lashes can complete a whole look. The right mascara can tie everything together just perfectly. That is why I am loving the mascara of my life right now Mary Kay's Signature Ultimate Mascara! It makes my lashes long and so pretty. It separates well, and you do not need to use a lot of coats to achieve your desired look. I took a picture of mine because I had never opened it, and I am not sure when I got it. I also put a stock picture from Mary Kay's website, because the packaging has changed. The mascara comes in black and black/brown. It is $15.00 on their website and on Amazon I found it for $13.00 in the silver packaging like I have. It is well worth it, it may be the only one I use for a while.

Just for fun here are some more gorgeous pictures of Ava!! All from Google image search.
Above is my favorite. It is from the movie the killers where she drives two men to their destruction with her beauty. She looks fantastic even in black and white!

OMG!!!
What was I thinking?????
I completely left the house today without any lipstick on, or any in my purse. This is a HUGE deal to me because I do not usually go anywhere without lipstick on me. Enter my savior, the lip gloss duo you see to the right. It is the Femme Couture Ultra Shine Lip Duo in Pink Tulip. I got this a while back from Sally's because you got it for free when you purchased one or more of the Femme Couture eye shadows. It is so shiny I only used the one side, and even I can stand not having lipstick on!!
Here is what Sally's says about it;
- Gives lips a shiny, pouty look
- Two semi-sheer shades
- Can be worn together or separately

Gingham Nails!!
Fun with Gingham,
Playing around with my nails this morning I was trying to do a design I saw on you tube. I can not find it again. It is a very nice video of a girl doing this checkered pattern in the pic. I love it! I used a pearl colored base, a white nail art polish, a pink nail art polish, and a toothpick! If anyone finds this video on you tube, let me know so I can give her the credit. I can not wait to try blue and green, and other fun colors!!

Fun With COlor!!
This look was fun to do this morning as I looked at my plain Jane outfit and thought, my eyes can use some color! I used everything pictured on my eyes, with the exception of the blues in the Loreal quad. I wanted something colorful and pretty. I know the floating eyes pic is strange, but that is how it posted so I am rolling with it. Here is what I did;
I first primed my eyes with Hard Candy Eye Shadow Primer (not pictured) and then I covered from my lid up to my brow in the third color down in the Revlon Illuminating Creme Shadow pallet in Seashell.
I followed that up with the top highlight color of the Loreal Wear Infinite Quad in the Out of the Blue Palette on the center of my eyelid and above my crease.
I then put the Cover Girl Eye Enhancers Purple Shadow number 455 on the outer third of my lid.
To just the outside of my crease I applied the Revlon Blusher I talked about in my last post, Merlot at Midnight. It added intensity to the look.
On the top eyelid right up against my lashes and on my bottom water line I used NYC Liner in Bold Brown. I followed that with Hard Candy's Walk the Line liner in Gold Glitter on the outer part of my bottom lash line, and right above the Bold Brown liner all the way across my top lash line. I finished the look with Great Lash mascara (not pictured).
It probably seems like a lot of steps. I used just two brushes and my fingers for all the shadows. A Revlon shadow brush for all the eyeshadow colors except the Merlot at Midnight on the outside of my crease.
I like to create looks that have lots of dimension when I have time to play around with color!

In the Bag!
I wanted to share my new makeup bag with you. I love it! It was handmade in Japan. I got it from a goodwill store. I had a very stressed purple cheetah bag that was struggling to hold all my precious cargo. I have since gotten rid of it to make room for my new one. I can fit all my everyday essentials in it. It matches all my purses. There are no bad things to say about it. Plus, it is super cute!!!

Random Makeup Loves and Foundation!!
These pictures were taken on my very spring time dress that I have on today!!
Okay so I recently purchased Revlon Photo Ready Foundation. I really like it! It isn't too thick like a lot of full coverage foundations and it blends really well. I have it in ivory which may be a little too light for spring/summer, but I make up for it with my bronzer. The bottle says, "a completely airbrushed look in any light," I do not know if I agree with that exactly, but it does do a good job. The concealer in the picture is by Hard Candy the Nobody's Perfect Concealer Palette in fair. They also have medium. You can tell in the picture I have hit pan in a couple of them, I use it everyday. The green is for red areas, the yellow I use on my lids to prime and cover red lines, and the two nude colors I use under my eyes to cover up dark circles. I don't really use the lilac color. I have read that it is a kind of primer, so you might put it over dark spots on your face before your foundation. It is a good deal and I think it is as good as some high end concealer palettes. The last thing in the picture, which you can not see how pretty it is because of the poor quality of my phone camera while my digital is charging, is Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder in Translucent by Physicians Formula. I like to use this as a setting powder, it completes the look, and gives my foundation staying power. I use a large kabuki brush rather then the one that it came with, because it applies it better to my face. The powder does not look caked on and gives my skin an even more flawless finish. As far as the rest of my face goes for today, I took a picture of everything I used to go with my Springy Looking Dress!!
The Physicians Formula Shimmer Strip in Vegas Strip/ Light Bronzer I used for my eyes and my cheeks. I used the top color for highlighting my cheekbones and the inner third of my eyelid. One thing I forgot to put in the picture is my Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer, I love it! I used the third color down for the outer third of my eyelid, and I used the three bottom colors for bronzing in an E shape on my face and contouring the hollows of my cheeks! For the outer v I used Beauty Rush Luminous Shadow in Brown to Earth by Victoria's Secret. I lined my eyes with Sally Girl Liquid Liner in Deep Brown (.99 at Sally's Beauty Supply). For blush I used a Revlon Sculpting Blush Golden Affair in Merlot at Midnight. I got this on sale at Big Lots. I think that it was limited edition. I know that they have it on Amazon though!! You need the tiniest amount on your cheekbones, so you barely touch the brush to it. It looks like it is going to be scary, but it is actually really pretty. For my lips I used Avon Glimmersticks Lip Liner in Pink Bouquet, NYC lipstick in Violet Shine, and Milani Buzz Worthy Lip Gloss in BEE HAVE. It is just clear, but very shiny! The lips complement the blush perfectly, and the liner and lipstick are very close in color!! Hope you enjoyed reading this really long blog!

Sweet Cheeks!
Sweet CHEEKS!!
This is the cheek combo I have been using almost everyday.
1) Bronzer - NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder
2) Blush -NARS Orgasm!!!
3) Highlight - Physicians Formula Custom Blush & Highlighter in Healthy Glow
I love my Nars Blush. This is the most money I ever spent on a blush. The first time I bought it and used it, I knew it was worth it. The color is peach with some gold specks and it really looks fantastic on apples or used as a contour. It has lasted me a really long time!!
The NYC Bronzer is good if you have really fair skin like I do, it just gives you a little bit of a healthy summer time glow. It is not expensive, so that is an added perk. I love that the pictures are upside down. The brush I use for all three is just a generic Kabuki brush that works! Have fun playing up your cheekbones!!
